Key responsibilites of an Event Manager

Serving as the main point of contact

In this role, you’re the main point of contact for speakers, sponsors and delegates running up to events. You’ll gain invaluable experience in time management, exceptional organisational skills and rarely have a dull moment in this fast-paced environment.

Directing campaign operations

You’ll be responsible for the smooth running of your events from planning to execution. This will involve managing venues’ contracts and accommodation, confirming details (such as set-up, catering and numbers), working within the event budget, and overseeing the floorplan management.

Managing on-site operations

You’ll make sure everything goes to plan on-site, through managing the onsite move-in and move-out of events, OH&S requirements, manuals and correspondence around exhibitor rules and regulations, and sponsor, speaker and delegate expectations.
