Key responsibilities in Delegate Sales
Engaging and connecting with industry leaders
Delegate sales is a business-to-business role in the events industry, and you’ll build relationships with key players across multiple industries to secure their involvement in events. You’ll contact senior managers, directors and c-suite professionals to persuade them to attend relevant events for their personal and professional development.
Developing effective communication strategies
As a delegate sales executive, you’ll contribute to the development of effective communication strategies for target audiences and the refinement of value propositions. This process will involve collaboration with research and marketing teams to evaluate and adjust these strategies.
Speaking with prospective and existing customers
If you’re a people person with an excellent telephone manner, you’ll thrive in delegate sales. As a delegate sales professional, you’ll be responsible for communicating (primarily by phone) with prospective and existing customers to explain conference values propositions and other important information.
